COLLAGE
This work began in Iceland when I was in a residency there. I packed some interesting origami paper I found, not knowing what I would do with it. I certainly couldn't lug a 4-foot panel there to work on. I was so captivated by the vast and varying landscapes there, I endeavored to try and capture it on small 6" x 8" pieces of paper. I was hooked on the challenge of boiling a complex visual down to just a few basic shapes.
